Membership in BVCHEA

 

The Membership Application is available at many BVCHEA events, or you may download it and give to any BVCHEA Board member. BVCHEA offers two types of membership:
        Associate Membership
        Full Membership

Dues for both types of membership are $20 per family annually.

Both types of membership require that you have read, concur with, and agree to abide by the BVCHEA By Laws.

Full Membership also requires that you have read, agree with, and have signed the accompanying Statement of Faith as outlined in Exhibit B of the BVCHEA By Laws. Note that holding a leadership position in BVCHEA (serving on the Board of Directors or serving on a BVCHEA committee) require a Full Membership.

Benefits of BVCHEA Membership include:
  1. Teacher Identification Card
  2. Participation in BVCHEA Athletics, Graduation, and other Special Events
  3. Access to unique educational resources such as the Creation Science Lending Library
  4. Discounted Membership Rates to Texas Homeschool Coalition (THSC)
  5. Discounted Membership Rates for Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA)
  6. Educational Discounts and tax-exempt purchasing agreements with many local vendors, including computer equipment
  7. Support of the Christian Home Schooling Community here in the Brazos Valley!
  8. Opportunities to be mentored by experienced home schoolers

 

Note that some of the events and activities BVCHEA sponsors require membership while others do not. Some of the events for which require BVCHEA membership are:
  • Athletics
  • Graduation
Some of the events which do NOT require BVCHEA membership are:
  • Scripps Spelling Bee
  • Ice Skate Day (monthly)
  • Swim Party (in August)
  • Camps & Mini Camps
